What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected through gangstagoddess.com, including its contact form, newsletter signup, page analytics, and donation link. We collect only what we need to respond, provide resources, understand how the site is used, and keep the service working.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not trade your information for money or allow it to be used for someone else’s advertising list.
Information from the contact form
If you contact us, the form asks for your name, email address, and message. It can also include an optional phone number and help type. The submission may include attribution details captured from the page: UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term values, plus the referring page.
The server also receives the IP address associated with the request and stores it with the submission for basic security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Please share only information you are comfortable sending through an online form, and do not use it for an emergency.
Information from the newsletter
When you sign up for the Reentry Resource Sheet or newsletter updates, we collect your email address, the page path where you signed up, the referring page, UTM source/medium/campaign/content/term fields when available, and signup timestamps. If you sign up again, the existing subscriber record may be updated rather than duplicated.
We use this information to send the resource updates you requested and to understand which pages help people find them.
Site analytics
For site analytics, the server may record the requested path, referrer, browser user agent, available UTM values, and a shortened SHA-256 hash of the IP address in the page_views record. The stored IP value is a shortened hash rather than the raw IP address.
On pages where the Polsia Analytics beacon is present, the browser also keeps a visitor ID in localStorage under polsia_vid and sends that ID with the analytics beacon. This helps estimate repeat visits. The site uses analytics and may use advertising cookies or similar tools to support outreach campaigns; there is currently no separate third-party advertising or retargeting pixel present in this repository.
Browser storage
utm-capture.js uses sessionStorage to keep UTM attribution values and an outside referrer during a browser session. That information helps connect a later form signup to the page or campaign that brought you here. The analytics visitor ID described above uses localStorage only on pages where the Polsia Analytics beacon is present. The dismiss-only cookie notice stores your choice in localStorage under gg_cookie_consent_dismissed; it does not create a cookie or change the analytics and attribution behavior.
Tools and service providers
- Polsia Analytics: the site uses Polsia’s analytics beacon/pixel and server-side analytics records to understand visits and page use.
- Google Fonts: pages request the Outfit and DM Serif Display fonts from Google Fonts so the site can display its typography.
- Donation checkout: selecting a donation option can hand you off to a Polsia-hosted payment checkout. This app does not ask for or store your card number; payment information is handled through that hosted flow.
There is currently no separate third-party advertising or retargeting pixel present in this repository, although advertising cookies or similar tools may be used for future outreach campaigns as described above. Links to other organizations may have their own privacy policies once you leave this site.
How we use and share information
We use information to answer messages, send requested newsletter or resource updates, measure and improve the site, protect forms and services, and keep records needed to operate the project. We may share information with service providers that help host, analyze, secure, or deliver parts of the site, and when disclosure is required by law or needed to protect people or the service.
We do not use contact or newsletter information to sell access to you. We do not promise that every provider linked from this site follows the same practices, so review their terms before sharing information with them.
Security, retention, and requests
We use reasonable technical and operational measures for the information this site handles, but no online transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, routine operations, safety, or legal obligations. We do not promise a fixed retention period.
You can ask a privacy question or request review, correction, or deletion of information connected to you. We will consider the request and explain any limits, such as information we must keep for security, legal, or recordkeeping reasons, or information already held in backups.
